What Our Clients Have to Say:

Lynn La Roe wrote: My PC was attacked by the CryptoWall 3.0 virus. I discovered it when I opened a Word Document and it was unreadable. I started checking other documents and found the same issue with all of them. In the folder that included the original Word file I was trying to access, I found an HTML Document entitled HELP_DECRYPT dated approximately one month earlier. I clicked on it and it brought me to an Internet Explorer screen that stated, “All of your files were protected by a strong encryption with RSA-2048 using CryptoWall 3.0. This means that the structure and data within your files have been irrevocably changed, you will not be able to work with them, read them or see them, it is the same thing as losing them forever, but with our help you can restore them. Especially for you, on our server was generated the secret key pair RSA-2048 – public and private. All your files were encrypted with the public key, which has been transferred to your computer via the Internet. Decrypting of your files is only possible with the help of the private key and decrypt program which is on our secret server. Alas, if you do not take the necessary measures for the specified time then the conditions for obtaining the private key will be changed. If you really value your data, then we suggest you do not waste valuable time searching for other solutions because they do not exist.” I was then given several “pay to” links that I was supposed to click on for help. I assume they were links that would have directed me to pay a particular dollar amount to decrypt my files, obviously a scam!! I immediately shut down my computer and called Data Specialist Group. They helped me recover files from a mobile device in the past and I knew I could trust them to help me with this issue. It took some work, but I am happy to report that Dwayne and his team at Data Specialist Group were able to recover many of my encrypted files. We weren’t able to get everything back (CryptoWall is a nasty, nasty virus!!!), but we were able to retrieve a good portion of it. After he gave me a hard drive with the recovered data, Dwayne called to follow up and make sure that I was able to access it at home. He offered suggestions, gave me advice and told me not to hesitate to call him if I ran into any glitches along the way. This is the second time they have bailed me out of a bad situation and I highly recommend them to anyone in a similar boat. Many thanks to Data Specialist Group!!
